Ladies Guild
The St. Peter Ladies Guild is an
organization of women who promote the spiritual welfare of the women of
the parish by encouraging and assisting them to observe the practice of
their Catholic life; namely the reception of the Sacraments, the
honoring of the Blessed Virgin Mary by an active religious life and
working against all things which offend womanly virtue. All women of
the parish are welcome.
When we meet?
The second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall (except Jan, June, July and August)
Please see our welcome letter to new members below:
Dear Parishioner,
We would like to invite you to join us
at our September meeting on Wednesday, Sept.14, 2014 in the church hall
at 6:30pm. Our first meeting is always a pot luck, where everyone
brings something. The Bulletin will list the hostess with her
phone number if you are interested in bringing something.
Our Guild is an active one and open to all ages. Enclosed is a
calendar of the proposed events for the coming year. Activities
not listed on the calendar include providing receptions for funerals;
making baptismal gowns and going to Saybrook at Haddam monthly to say
the Rosary with interested ladies. We are always interested in
getting new ideas for activities and programs for the meetings.
This year’s officers are:
President - Vicki Bogdan
Vice-President - Claudette Sirois
Treasurer - Mar-Jean Kuchyt
Secretaries - Dale Arseneault and Valnere McLean
Please come and join us, if not in September, then at any meeting. If you are hesitant about coming alone the first time, call any of the officers to find out members in your neighborhood. We look forward to making your acquaintance.
